Our Class Blog
Activity Based Learning
In Year 5 we have been exploring our topic of Hidden Treasures through some Activity Based Learning activities. Take a look at what we have been up to.
Educational Tour
Year 5 had the opportunity to take part in an educational tour dealing with the story of the Reformation, 500 years on. The tour was delivered through replica rooms from the era, in a interactive tour.
Going Green Day
Thank you to everyone that came to help us to make our 'junkbots'. We really enjoyed working together to create some fantastic 3D models.
Popcorn party!!
We worked really hard at Sumdog last week. Despite being pipped to the post by P4 R to be Seaview winners, we celebrated all of our hard work with a popcorn party!
World Book Day
We had great fun dressing up on World Book Day as our favourite characters. Take a look at the photographs below and see if you can guess who we are...
We also enjoyed listening to our mystery reader, Aaron Burns, who came along for the morning and read the story Napoleon the Lonely Leopard.
Popcorn Party
Yesterday we had a popcorn party to celebrate our class attendance for January and February. Hopefully we can keep this up and maybe we will be the winners of the popcorn party again this term!!
Class Buddies
One of our activities during E-Safety Week was to buddy-up with the Year 3s! We spent time reading the DigiDuck app with them. It was lots of fun! We also quizzed the Year 3s at the end of the story, to see what they had learned. They did really well. We all have a better understanding of how to stay safe online now.
E-Safety Week
E-Safety Week got off to an informative start with some of our Digital Leaders helping to launch the event in assembly! THREE Digital Leaders were from our class! As you can see, we did very well reading out the SMART Rules and explaining their use.
Pleasure Flight!
We are delighted to report that one of our classmates was selected to win a pleasure flight, as part of our link with Belfast City Airport! This young man was put into the running thanks to his 100% attendance this year. Everyone had a fantastic time and the boys and girls received certificates too! Well done!
Some More Model Pupils!
School Council Visit to Stormont
Our school council members were invited to Stormont by William Humphrey to celebrate our road safety award. As you can see, our Year 5Mis School Council representative really enjoyed her visit!
Sing-Out Concert!
Some of us represented Seaview by attending the Sing-Out Concert. We all looked very smart in our school uniforms and we sang our hearts out! Everyone was so proud of us!
Model Pupils
Congratulations to more Model Pupils from Year 5Mis! Keep up the great work!
Christmas Service 2016
We were so excited to take part in this year's Christmas service. We worked alongside the Year 4 pupils to bring Bible readings, carols and even poetry to our families and friends in the congregation. We all did so well!
Go Fly Your Kite Workshop
In November, we had a great time attending a kite making workshop! As the photographs show, we are very creative and our kites looked fantastic!
Model Pupil
Model pupils are chosen for various reasons each week. Perhaps we are embodying the school values, or maybe it's because we wear our school uniform smartly and with pride. We are proud to be chosen! #modelpupils
